On 1st June 2024, three Crown Wealth team members, Matt, George and Zoe, will be flying out to Malawi and joining a small team from the St. James’s Place community in support of the Tongale Foundation.
The purpose of the 10-day trip is to renovate two school blocks, in addition to a teacher’s house. The team want to make a real difference to the lives of the children who live in the Nkhotakota district of Malawi, children who live in extreme poverty. The school that we will be supporting, Mwalawatongle F.P, has an annual budget of £75, this equates to just 16p, per child, per year.
The Tongale Foundation, which was established in 2009, has undertaken incredibly important work for the local community, from building a school from scratch, installing solar panels to power donated laptops and printers, to continuing to feed over 2000 children, which they have been doing for the past 3 years.
To provide the best outcome for this community, we are hoping to raise as much as possible for the Tongale Foundation, which can then be used to support renovating the school.
